Gananoque and the Surrounding Area
The 1000 Islands is world renowed for its beauty and there are plenty of ways to explore it. Take a boat cruise, or bring your bike and enjoy the 27 km paved bike path right at from the entrance. Love the water? Take a scenic cruise or bring or rent a boat and explore on your own. The St Lawrence River is at our shore and your beck and call. Try out paddleboarding or kayaking from our private dock. Just a short walk is the Landon Bay Center offering excellent hiking and beautiful vistas of the whole area. Championship golf is just down the road. Both Kingston and Brockville is only a short drive away and both offers more exploring and history to discover.

Set directly on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, halfway between Toronto and Montreal, the Thousand Islands Playhouse is one of Canada's most celebrated professional theatres. Its two fully renovated heritage venues, the Springer and Firehall theatres, present eight dynamic productions, professional art exhibitions, and six lively concerts each year between May and November. You'll be amazed by the beauty of the St. Lawrence River. Whether you go out for an hour or three, you'll get just a small taste of how stunning it really is. See multi-million-dollar homes alongside others so small they're more like sheds, and look over the edge to spot the International Border. Several tours stop at Boldt Castle and Singer Castle, as well as Millionaires' Row and Zavikon Island, home of the shortest international bridge in the world. Two tours are within walking distance or a short bike ride, with two more just a 10-minute drive away. If you come to the 1000 Islands, make sure you see the islands! Discount coupons are available.

Gananoque Boat Line (6 Water St, Gananoque, ON) The largest and oldest cruise company in the 1000 Islands, Gananoque Boat Line operates five triple-decker, all-aluminum vessels ranging from 350 to 500 passengers, so there's a cruise for any interest and any schedule. Each vessel has five open decks and two fully enclosed decks, with restrooms on every deck plus a coffee shop and refreshments. The fleet is inspected and certified by Transport Canada, one of the highest standards in the world.

Tours depart from two locations: Gananoque, or the 1000 Islands Bridge location in Ivy Lea (one-hour tour only). Gananoque is just 20 minutes east of Kingston, Ontario.

This professionally designed 18-hole, par-72 championship course stretches 6,502 yards and features bent-grass greens and fairways, brilliant white sand bunkers, and fabulous vistas from several elevated tees. The layout takes full advantage of the rugged Canadian Shield landscape, with mature mixed forests, tall white pines, high granite cliffs, and rolling hills and valleys. It's the ideal setting for your next round or tournament.
1000 Islands Tower
1000 Islands Tower (Hill Island) Get a bird's-eye view of the 1000 Islands from this unique attraction, the only one of its kind in the region and just minutes from the area's cottages. Running continuously, the elevator takes only 40 seconds to reach the first of three observation decks, where you'll enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the 1000 Islands and St. Lawrence River stretched out 130 metres (400 feet) below. There's a gift shop on-site, and the staff at the top are happy to answer your questions. Don't forget your camera.
